Quality Forum 2016 featured three full-day pre-Forum sessions on February 24 that took a “dive deep” into specific topics.
Joint Collaborative Committees Showcase
The Joint Collaborative Committees Showcase highlighted and helped spread the work of the General Practice Services, Specialist Services, and Shared Care committees. These initiatives support GPs and specialists in leading change, and they are varied and diverse: some have a provincial scope, others are driven by regional issues, while many start at a community level, but grow to a provincial level.
National #hcsmca Symposium for Health Care + Digital Communication
This first-ever national meeting of the #hcsmca community explored how digital communication can impact the quality of care, support patient-provider co-design, contribute to research and knowledge translation, and lead to interdisciplinary decision-making. Anyone interested in the relationship between health care and digital communication was invited to attend!
A View from the Inside: Community-Driven, Nation-Based Coast Salish Health and Wellness
In this highly interactive, experiential visit, participants not only had an opportunity to explore a First Nations perspective on health and wellness services, but also heard First Nations music and songs, experienced Coast Salish culture and tasted amazing Musqueam cuisine.
