Preaching Interprofessional Harmony
Part of a series recapping Health Talks: Bold Ideas to Transform Health Care. Ten inspiring speakers, comprising a blend of health care providers and the public, used the Pecha Kucha-powered 20 x 20 format (20 slides, 20 seconds each) to answer our question: What are your hopes for a better health care system?

John Gilbert, principal & professor emeritus of the College of Health Disciplines at the University of British Columbia, was Health Talks’ eighth speaker. His hope is that those in the health care system can work better inter-professionally. John’s charisma and sense of humour made his presentation very enjoyable.

Graphic Illustration
Graphic facilitator Avril Orloff transformed the Health Talks speakers’ words into brilliant illustrations. Her visual interpretations, which she steadily sketched beside the audience on a giant posterboard, captured compelling moments of each presentation over many different topics. John’s graphic is displayed on the left.
