Health Talks was awesome!
Once again, this popular evening event served as our unofficial kick-off to the Quality Forum.
Engaging and passionate speakers – representing both health care and the public – answered our question: What are your hopes for health care?
But Health Talks’ speakers didn`t use PowerPoint presentations full of bullet points. They used the PechaKucha 20×20 format, where each presentation contains 20 slides and each slide is displayed for exactly 20 seconds before automatically advancing to the next one. The slides can only feature photos or videos – no text!
It led to some pretty creative presentations. We had a visit from the Fairy Godmother, saw photos of “healthy” drawn by four-year-olds, learned about jumping for joy and about the importance of talking about death and listening to patients.
